Starting out from the Bridge Bay Marina paddlers follow the northwest shore along Yellowstone Lake. The trail will travel past the historic Fishing Bridge Visitor Center and Lake Hotel and then past the mouth of Yellowstone River to Pelican Creek. There are great opportunities for viewing migratory birds along this section of the lake. The winds on the lake can become strong in the afternoon resulting in some rough waters so paddling close to the shorelines is advised
