Located west of Birmingham and northeast of Tuscaloosa, this region of Black Warrior River located just below the Bankhead Reservoir can be accessed from the Old Lock 16 Park. Shown here, put- in at the Old Lock 16 Park and travel south along the shoreline to Old Lock 15 Park located on the right hand side. The shoreline is best explored by canoe or kayak but also allows motor powered boat access as well.
