Located along the North River in west central Alabama, Lake Tuscaloosa provides 177 miles of shoreline for boating, swimming and fishing activities. Lake Tuscaloosa was created by damming North River. This particular region of the lake can be accessed from Sharps Landing boat ramp located next to Watermelon Road County Park. From here travel north making your way through a few bends following the shoreline as you reach Carrolls Creek Island Park. Travel around the perimeter of the island park and explore it’s shoreline before returning back to Carrolls Creek boat ramp.
