The Black Warrior River is located in west central Alabama, and is named after Mississippian paramount chief Tuskaloosa, whose name meant Black Warrior. Begin this section of the Black Warrior River at the Foster’s Ferry boat ramp. Enjoy the trip as you make your way through various shoals and sandbars making the twists and turns of the river. Travel south ending at the Moundville Access boat ramp located on along the left shoreline just below the Moundville Archaeological Park. This is a great full day trip.
