This short easy climb leads up to ruins of an abandoned building in South Mountain. The Lost Ranch Ruins Trail continues further up past the ruins to the junction with the National Trail but the climb becomes extremely steep shortly after passing the ruin site. The Lost Ranch Ruin Trail is accessed by first traveling a short distance along the Pyramid Trail from the access point at Chandler Blvd. and 19th Avenue. There are multiple connecting trails within the park that provide multiple longer trip options to explore the park.
