Located in the southwestern portion of South Mountain Park, this exposed trail leads up to some impressive overlook spots of the Phoenix area. The trail starts out fairly flat but soon starts a steady climb up switchbacks to the lookout points before arriving at the turnaround point for this hike at the junction with the National Trail. There are multiple connecting trails within South Mountain Park providing visitors with the option of combining trails to cover more area. Parking for the trailhead is located on the street at the end of Chandler Blvd. and 19th Street.
