To get to the start of the canyon look at Rider Canyon approach. This area is confusing so make sure you do not get lost on the many roads in the area. Rider Canyon is a scenic canyon that goes to the river. You will need a permit from the Grand Canyon National Park if you camp at the bottom. You will need a 50’ rope and rappel gear or good climbing skills. There is a 20' down Climb that is 5.2. You can get to the river from this trail. This is a very remote canyon. It is rated 2III
