The Shaw Butte Trail is located in North Mountain Park and is a popular hike that provides hikers with nice views of the Phoenix area from a mountain peak. There are lots of trail junctions along the loop route so pay attention to the signs in order to stay on the correct trail. There are multiple trailheads, access points, and connecting trails along the route giving hikers many options on how much distance or area to cover. The trail is quite popular so parking may be limited during peak hiking times and plan on encountering other hikers while on the trail.
