The King’s River begins in the Boston Mountains and wanders through the farmlands of northern Arkansas. The riverbanks exist in a fairly natural state lined with hardwood and evergreen thickets. As with most Arkansas rivers, paddlers need to be on the lookout for downed trees that present a hazard to navigation.
