Located within Joshua Tree National Park off of Keys View Road, Cap Rock is a large formation with great rock quality. The Northeast face offers sun in the mornings and shade in the afternoon making this a popular area to climb during the heat of the day. With easy crack systems and excellent rock quality, this side of the formation can get crowded at times. Approach from large parking area just to the southwest of the formation and walk a short distance around to the northeast face.
