Kearsarge Pass Trail makes several switchbacks as it follows a narrow trail through a rugged terrain. Tress scatter the landscape while brush, shrubs, and exposed rock dominate. It follows Independence Creek as it cuts through Onion Valley. It passes several alpine lakes before ending at Kearsarge Lakes. There are excellent views all along the trail.
