Surrounded by grassy hillsides blanketed in chaparral and dotted with trees lies Lake Amador, a pleasant retreat for boaters. If you enjoy fishing, be sure to bring your fishing rod, the lake is populated with bass. There are numerous narrow arms and coves to explore around the lake. A full day is adequate, but if you would like to spend a couple days, there are a few lakeside campgrounds to stay a night or two at. Try this trip on a weekday when there are less motorized boats in the water.
