Along the shores of the South Fork Arm of Folsom Lake are several historical stone masonry sites. These sites are remnants of the former Salmon Falls community established in 1849 which are now buried under water and only visible during periods of low tide such as late summer months. It is illegal to collect any artifacts, they are there for viewing only. Watch for speeding boats and wakes in the channel. Also, strong currents can occur when the water table is low.
