The trail to Tamarack and Ralston Lakes begins at the southeast shore of Echo Lake. There are great views of Echo Lake and the mountain ranges in the distance as the trail ascends. The trail is surrounded by a variety of conifers and areas of exposed rock. A permit is required for this hike.
