The Crag Crest Trail rides passes by several lakes through the Grand Mesa National Forest. The trail is recognized as a National Recreation Trail. Along with passing by many lakes expect mixed aspen and conifer forests and flowering meadows. The upper loop does not allow mountain bikes so be sure to stay on the designated trail for mountain bikes. There are a few rock and root sections and some steep climbs.
