El Diente Peak is among Colorado's fourteeners and is located closely to it's neighbor fourteener Mt. Wilson. Begin at the Navajo Lake trailhead. The route travels up to the Navajo Basin above Navajo Lake. From the basin head to the prominent couloir that leads to the ridge separating the two mighty peaks. The couloir will have snow through the summer so bring an ice axe. Once you reach the ridge, it is a fun scramble of class 3 route finding. Cross to the south side till the gully and then back to the north side to the summit.
