Mount Wilson is one of Colorado's fourteeners and a more difficult peak to summit. This north slope rotue is the easiest and most popular route to summit the peak. It begins at the Navajo Lake Trailhead and passes by Navajo Lake up into to Navajo Basin. From the basin climb west of the permanent snowfield between Mount Wilson and Gladstone Peak. Snow is usually present through the summer so an ice axe is recommended. Hike up this steep snowy shoulder to the northeast ridge notch. The final 100 feet has class 3 and 4 moves that are just below the summit. There is a lot of exposure on both sides of the ridge so a rope is also recommended.
