North Maroon Peak is among one of the more difficult fourteener's to summit. The route begins at Maroon Lake Trailhead. Climbing to the summit involves class 4 scrambling over ledges with extreme exposure, loose rock and fatal falls beacause of the steepness. It requires good route finding and judgement so be smart. You can bring a rope but it is difficult to find a secure anchor.
