The Connecticut River flows over 400 miles and is the longest river in the New England region of the United States. The Connecticut River Valley has been touted as home to some of Connecticut's most productive farmland. This part of the river features some historical buildings like the Goodspeed Opera House and the Gillette Caste. Be apprised that there is powerboat traffic along this part of the river and that there is camping available just below the takeout point.
