Quonnipaug Lake, in south-central Connecticut, offers a quiet and secluded paddle on a shallow lake. The land around the lake has been developed, and there are several residential homes, especially on the east shores. The shores of the lake are lined with dense forest that displays maple, oak, hemlock and beech. This is an excellent fishing lake with a variety of fish species including largemouthbass, trout, smallmouth bass, crappie, walleye, striped bass and pickerel.
