This is a combined adventure where if the pond is not interesting enough, one can also paddle its outlet stream. The pond is about 50 acres in size and only 12 feet deep. After exploring the pond, one can then portage over the road to the stream and explore those waters for about a mile before heading back again. Note that portaging over beaver dams may be required, and during low water levels, access can be extremely limited since vegetation can choke passage. Be also on the lookout for rocks hidden just beneath the water's surface. Access to and from the water can change due to water levels, so one will need to adapt to current conditions.
