Flagstaff Lake is the fourth largest lake in Maine - stretching over 20,000 acres. It's surrounded by forested hills and provides scenic mountainous views. There are several bays, coves, and inlets to explore. This particular mapped route covers the eastern end of the lake. Parking is a bit limited but there is a boat ramp. Avoid paddling this lake when windy due to hazardous water conditions. Also note that this area is wilderness and one may view animal species such as otter, moose, and even bear.
