Gilman Pond is 242 acres in size and only 10 feet deep. One will enter the water off from Route 16 where there is a small pull-off on the side of the road. There is no real distinct entrance to the water, so one will need to find a location that suits - be also aware of private property. Once in the water, the pond is still a couple miles further up a stream.
