Unlike the other Great Pond to the north, this Great Pond is bigger in size and thus fits the name. It may actually seem more like a lake than an actual pond, especially because of the coves, islands, and inlets that are more often found in large lakes than ponds. Nevertheless, that's good news for paddlers since it creates more opportunity to explore. The boat ramp is located on the pond's southwestern shore next to the town of Belgrade Lakes.
