Indian Pond is a large reservoir created by the Harris Dam. Much longer than it is wide, the pond is over 3,500 acres in size and can reach depths of 118 feet. This particular mapped route covers the northern portion of this large body of water. Wilderness surrounds the lake and one may see animal species such as beaver, bald eagle, moose, and even bear. Windy weather can cause dangerous water conditions for paddlers, so be sure to paddle when the weather is calm.
