Swan Lake is the second largest lake in Waldo County and offers excellent recreational opportunity including paddling and wildlife viewing along its miles of scenic shoreline. There is some development along the shoreline but there is also a state park on the northern end that offers swimming beaches, picnicking, camping, and hiking. A public launch is also located on the southwest end of the lake.
