The Nezinscot River is a scenic river that runs through open meadows and woodlands of western Maine before flowing into the larger Androscoggin River. The west branch flows from West Sumner to the main branch in Buckfield. This section covers just over 6 miles of the west branch which is mostly quickwater with some small class I-II rapids. There is also the possibility of downed trees and strainers to watch out for along the way.
