Setting off from Bowers Harbor on the Old Mission Peninsula, this short paddle travels over to Power Island, a 200-acre forested island that is maintained as a large park. The island offers nice swimming beaches, hiking trails, a fishing dock, and camping. The easy out-and-back paddle passes through waters that are relatively protected and ideal for beginner paddlers. Camping is allowed on the island providing the option of an overnight or multi-day trip.
