This ride travels along hilly terrain and scenic shoreline around Big and Little Glen Lakes in northwest Michigan. Also located on the route is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore which offers some great hiking, beautiful scenery, and interesting maritime history. There is one large climb at the halfway point of the ride that is challenging with a fast descent. Traffic can be busy on Hwy. 109, especially near the dunes so be cautious and watch out for traffic and sand on the road.
