This narrow channel connects the upper and lower Leelanau Lakes and offers peaceful and calm waters for paddling. Designated as a natural area north of the bridge, the narrows consists of diverse wetland habitats that are home to lots of wildlife. There is a DNR boat launch south of the bridge that provides easy access to the area. The narrows channel also accesses both of the larger bodies of water providing paddlers many more miles of shoreline for exploration.
