The Manistee River is one of the longest rivers in Michigan and is great for paddling and fishing with its good access sites, abundant campsites, and nice scenery. This river trip starts at the access at Cameron Bridge and travels downstream through wooded terrain that is mostly undeveloped and rugged. There are a few homes and private properties spread out along the way but the trip is overall very remote and peaceful. The river is slow with few obstacles, ideal for beginner and intermediate paddlers.
