The North Eastern State Trail is a crushed limestone pathway that is 71 miles long and passes through small towns, rural farmlands, and wooded terrain. The trail also passes by multiple points of interest along the way. This section of the trail starts from Aloha State Park located on Mullett Lake and travels south to the City of Onaway. The scenery along this route includes mostly rural farmlands and lots of large ponds on the Black River. The trail does continue for many more miles giving riders the option of adding more mileage if desired. The trail does have a minimal change in elevation but overall is an easy ride perfect for riders of all skill levels.
