Starting from Tawas Point State Park, this scenic route follows the shoreline around Tawas Bay on Lake Huron and travels through the cities of Tawas and East Tawas. The scenery on this ride consists of rural farmlands, charming and historical residential areas, and the Lake Huron shoreline. The tip at Tawas Point is a great place for birdwatching and water views. There is traffic along Highway 23 and Highway 55 but the shoulders are wide and the terrain is very flat. There are plenty of food and rest stops available in both Tawas and East Tawas.
