Afton State Park has grand oaks and prairie landscapes that gives this park its beauty. There are a variety of activities available including swimming, camping and a visitor center with interpretive sings. This hiking trail offers views of the river, rolling glacial moraine, and blufflands. Much of the park is thickly wooded with oak, aspen, birch, and cherry. There are a variety of bird species, which makes this hike prime for birdwatchers.
