The Cannon Valley Cruise runs through the rolling hills of the Hiawatha Valley and bordered by the spectacular Mississippi River bluffs and it all begins in the beautiful city of Red Wing. Much of the route runs through the Richard J. Dorer Hardwood State Forest. Mark Twain once wrote of the region, "This amazing region with... majestic bluffs charms one with the grace and variety of their form." Truly his praise is deserved. Be apprised that while all the roads are low traffic, Highway 19 does have fast traffic.
