The hiking trail in the Mariner Mountain Park runs through heavily forested country just west of Lake Superior's Beaver Bay. There are spectacular views of Beaver Bay as well as Silver Bay along the ridges of this hiking adventure. Be apprised that if you wish to take your dog on the Superior Hiking Trail you must keep it on a leash. Also, this hike can be made into a full day out-and-back hike if time permits you to do so.
