The Tettegouche Lakes Loop is one of the longest cross country ski loop hikes along the North Shore. This skiing adventure presents a physical challenge with a scenic payoff. The trail runs past three of Tettegouche State Park's lakes, Mimac Tettegouche and Nipisiquit; Tettegouche Lake is touted as the most scenic in the group. Each of these lakes has descent ice fishing so bring the appropriate tools. The trail can be challenging (a 900 feet vertical climb) especially when the trail is difficult to follow. Also, be aware that there is a state-park parking fee.
