The Wood Tick Challenge is a road-biking adventure that runs through beautiful landscapes and features many of the area's 365 lakes. The starting point of this ride, Aitkin, has historical merit as a place where Native American leaders and explorers would meet, including Zebulon Pike, Father Louis Hennepin and Joseph N. Nicollet. The route utilizes country roads that wind through a rural and secluded area.
