Trail 151 is one of only two trails that traverse the entire Gila Wilderness, and this one is spectacular. Hiking down the very scenic West Fork of the Gila River takes you past an old, ruined cabin, pueblo caves built high into the canyon walls, and brilliantly colored cliff walls. The trail is very well shaded with lush vegetation, and there is always running water with abundant fishing and swimming holes. This hike only takes you part way up the canyon, you can continue on, or check out some of the other trails that break off - everything is picturesque. Because this trail is in the wilderness, no mountain bikes are allowed.
