Starting in a forest at nearly river level, the trail starts ascending and leads to two waterfalls along Coopey Creek. After crossing the creek, climbing to the summit of Angel's Rest is the first lookout point. This point provides a 270 degree view, especially the impressive span of the Columbia River below. The trail then makes it way toward the next viewpoint, Devil's Rest. This point has some good spots to view the Washington side of the river, but does not have the expansive view as Angel's Rest due to the large amount of trees.
