This paved rail trail, Lehigh Gorge State Park Trail begins in Jim Thorpe and ends in White Haven. The route to White Haven is a gradual climb along the scenic Lehigh River. Along the trail there are several waterfalls, historic remnants of the Upper Grand Section of the Lehigh Canal and wildlife as the trail winds along with the river through the gorge. The return route is quite relaxing as it is all downhill. You could also make this a one-way trip and start at either end.
