Designed as an outdoor walk along the canal created by the levee, a paved surface perfect for biking sits on the West side of the canal. Access to the trail is fairly limited, and the best access is actually from a point somewhere in the middle, so we divided this ride into a North and South section. The northern section is about 5 miles long (10 miles round-trip) while the southern section is about 2 1/2 miles (5 miles round-trip). If you're looking for something longer, consider the Levee Loop, which encompasses the whole trail plus some other side streets.
