Beautiful area, especially at the confluence of rivers that connect to create an island. In a little warmer conditions than we had, that water could be a lot of fun. Sadly, we ran out of time 25 minutes short of the actual Pictographs. I'm hoping someone will hike this and upload a couple photos of them. Also, if you want to make this trip to the pictographs a little more adventurous, you can take Polly Canyon to the confluence instead of this Government Trail. Definitely worth it if you have the time.

Went down a weekend in March and did not see another soul. Very isolated and fun. I agree with Vinny, Take some time to explore Polly Canyon as well. It is incredible.
