Davis gulch begins with a long section of narrows with some great aesthetics and widens into an oasis filled with vegetation and cottonwood trees. Along the way adventures will pass Bement Arch (a bit of a cave really) and eventually reach a ramp on the west wall providing egress from the canyon for a long slick-rock and sage country march back to the trailhead (very hot in summer). Down climbing is necessary in Davis Gulch with difficulty in the vicinity of 5.6. For equipment you’ll need 40’ of rope and 40’ of webbing for anchors (no-bolt area). You will likely encounter water so a shorty wetsuit is advised. Bring plenty of water. Flashflood danger is moderate for this route; check and head weather reports and keep an eye out for changing conditions.
