The Jordan River has gotten a bad reputation in the past for being dirty, but it offers a pleasant place to paddle. It is shallow, muddy and probably not something you’d want to swim in but it is scenic and offers good paddling. Beginning at Utah Lake this section is pretty tame. Continuing on is risky with fences across the river and you’ll be trespassing.
