Rufus Woods Lake is a reservoir on the Columbia River that extends for many miles east of Bridgewater in some of the driest areas of the state. The scenery includes desert, irrigated orchards, and high bluffs. There are no places to camp unless you arrange to stay on the Colville Indian Reservation that covers the north shore of the reservoir (even then, there are few beaches.) Don't forget to bring sunscreen here.
