The Siouxon Trail (pronounced sue-sawn) closely follows its eponymous creek through the heart of a densely forested roadless area of exceptional beauty. The creek and its tributaries form several stunning waterfalls, often with large pools at their bases perfect for swimming and fishing. The best waterfalls on Siouxon Creek are Lower Siouxon, Siouxon, Middle Siouxon, and Upper Siouxon Falls, while falls on the various tributaries include, in increasing distance from the trailhead, Horseshoe Creek, Wildcat, and Chinook, all of which require a short journey up side trails to reach (but are well worth the effort.) Any one of these falls makes an excellent destination. Most of the climbing comes after all of the falls are passed. This trail can also be done as a one-way; starting at the higher trailhead will eliminate all climbing. The trail is very popular with both mountain bikers and hikers; please be watchful and courteous.
