This tour traverses the Chequamegon National Forest which is a massive parcel of land larger than the state of Rhode Island. The area is extremely popular for cross-country skiing in the winter and mountain biking in summer. The population of Cable swells from 800 to as many as 20,000 during these two major events. This route follows paved forest roads through a very scenic area over terrain that is rolling to very hilly.
