This scenic route travels through some of the area where the Black Hawk War of 1832 took place. You will roll through lush valleys where creeks flow between the mountain-like hills. From town to town you will climb ridges, meander along the ridge tops, descend through beautiful valleys, and encounter many scenic vistas. The terrain is rolling with a couple major climbs. Most of the rural roads in the area are paved if you want to customize the route. For a 23-mile option, take a right on County Road N about a mile before reaching Willow Creek Road.
