This is a great hike through a gorgeous river valley at the confluence of the Kinnickinnic River and the St. Croix River. The views and natural areas here are breathtaking. This hike takes you through the many habitats of the park, from the hardwood near the overlook, out into the open prairie, and back again. It is a combination of three of the park’s trail pieced together to form a nice loop from the main parking lot. Be prepared on hot sunny days as the majority of the hike is exposed and there are not many shady stops. Expect to see a variety of plants and wildlife.
